FOUNDER & PRESIDENT Your lifeSport Fitness team is ready to coach you to success! You may be wondering who I am, and why you should choose lifeSport Fitness for your fitness needs. So, I’ll give you a little background on myself and why it will impact your results with us. I’m probably not the typical fitness professional you see around San Jose, or anywhere for that matter. Many fitness business owners are former competitive athletes or “fitness junkies” turned fitness instructor. That’s not exactly me. You wouldn’t find me on any playing field while I was a kid growing up here in San Jose. Actually, I wanted to be a doctor when I was younger, but didn’t think I could handle all the math and science at school. So, I headed off to UC Santa Barbara after high school and got a bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies. Right about that time, I decided I really DID want to do something in the health industry (needless to say, my dad wasn’t exactly thrilled at this point!). So, I went to graduate school and got a Master’s Degree in kinesiology. Since then I’ve accumulated nearly 30 years in the fitness industry. I never did apply to medical school, but the neat thing is, I found my niche working with people just like YOU who want to lose weight, get healthier and feel strong, fit and confident. I know how to get you stronger, help you boost your metabolism and how to help you decrease your risk for disease because of all the different experiences and education I had over these last 30 years! Boot Camp Coach/Personal Trainer Hometown: Seattle , WA College Attended and Major: San Jose State University, Business Management/Marketing Certifications: NASM CPT 2015 to present CPR First Aid Homelife and Hobbies: Very happily married to Becky. We have two grown children Sara & Chris and our Golden retriever Cody. Personal Trainer Hometown: Kiel, WI College Attended and Major: University of Phoenix, Business Administration and San Jose State, Human Resource Management Certifications: ACE Group Fitness, TRX, Spin and Pilates Homelife and Hobbies: Kids: 3 boys (18, 17, 14). Pets: 1 dog, 2 cats and 1 rabbit. I enjoy being outdoors in general and most related activities (skiing, hiking, biking, beach), attending concerts/live music, sporting events (especially football), reading and writing. Coach Cody Head Greeter/Chief Motivator/Studio Security

Head Greeter/Chief Motivator/Studio Security Hometown: Somewhere near Sacramento, CA Home life and Hobbies: I live in San Jose with my human mom and dad. We take walks in the neighborhood almost every day, and we hike in the hills on weekends. When I’m not walking, my favorite thing to do is nap or go to work with my mom and help supervise our clients to make sure they’re having fun. Favorite exercise: Downward Dog (couch surfing is a close second) Favorite Indulgence Foods: Whatever Dad is eating. Fun facts about Cody: I started my life with a family who realized they didn’t really want me (shocking, I know!). So I stayed alone in the backyard most of the time. A nice person from a rescue organization picked me up one day and took me to their home. One day soon after that, my mom and dad came to Sacramento to meet me. I must have made a good impression, because they took me home that very day. I’ve been part of the family ever since. I live indoors now and only go into the backyard when I want to!

Personal Trainer Hometown:  San Jose - a true local! Certifications:  Personal trainer through National Association of Sports Medicine Nutrition Educator through Baumann College Solution Focused Coach through Erickson International Homelife and Hobbies:   I am married, have three teenagers (13, 16 and 17) and a dog named Lucy. I have all kinds of hobbies from quilting and crafting to bike riding, gardening, and baking. I don’t always have a lot of time for them because of my mom duties as well as my career transitions and leadership coaching practice.  Favorite exercise:   I like the barbell bench squat and barbell bench press because they make me feel strong - like a real weightlifter. I also love the ropes when we do cardio.     Favorite Indulgence Foods:   There are too many! But my most decadent is a dark chocolate California Brittle from See’s candy. I have a secret stash and when I eat one, I take my time. I thoroughly savor and enjoy it and am always satisfied with just one piece.    Fun facts about Kimberly: I'll share two. First, I ran for public office in 2016 and my name was on the front page of the ballot, just below the presidential nominees of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump - very exciting. Second, I was an overweight teen, young adult and lost 50 pounds in my twenties. Through regular exercise and healthier eating, I have kept it off.
